Half a glass of wine a day gives 5 years of life

ELEONORA
Fat Half a glass of wine a day gives about 5 years more of life According to a Dutch study. The analysis of the habits of about 1,400 middle-aged men followed for 40 years, revealed that drinking regularly a small amount of alcohol increases longevity. And the biggest gain in more than a year, it's just for those who prefer a half glass of wine a day: these people tend to live about four to five and a half years longer than teetotalers.

Not only that, according to Reuters Health fi no to those who consume two glasses of wine, two pints of beer or two measures of spirits a day tend to live about two years longer than non-drinkers. Researchers at Wageningen University in the Netherlands analyzed 40 years of 1,374 men born between 1900 and 1920, examining the 2000 fi no habits at table, with alcohol and smoking and body mass index of each, also recorded the prevalence of heart attack, stroke, diabetes and cancer in the group.

Well, the study found that wine is linked to the double-fi with a lower risk of death from all causes. "People who already consume alcoholic beverages should do so in a light, allowing himself one or two drinks per day, and instead of wine," suggests Martinette Streppel, of the University nutritionist Netherlands.

The researchers found that consumption of no more than 20 grams of alcohol a day - a glass contains about 10 - carries a risk of death reduced by 36 percent compared with teetotalers. And reducing the danger increases for those who, among all possible drink, prefer wine. In general, those who drink half glass of wine a day had a 40 percent reduction in overall mortality and lower incidence of cardiovascular death by 48 percent. All this translates into a higher life expectancy for light drinkers.

A BEAUTIFUL EVENING OF WINE

A beautiful evening on Tuesday '27 October to Gianni Restaurant and Dorina in Milan.
Proposed by our agent, I thought at the usual dinner wine tasting with so many "born to learn," I found a warm and welcoming atmosphere, many people really passionate and determined to understand the wines.
The hosts offered great hospitality, the atmosphere is informal. For years, living a passion for wine, have made a commitment to working almost full. They have an association that aims to disseminate knowledge, are tasting courses, evenings with the producers.
I had to submit to the cellar and wine, I tried to convey what is most difficult to communicate, the disinterested passion. It 's true we produce wine, therefore we do business, but we produce as much as we do and why you like it so much.
the questions were relevant, never impertinent (thanks for not having asked the percentage of sulfur, because we do not do organic, what do you think of the wines true), moreover, as I said, it was friends that the wine is drunk not read it.
We ate good food is perfectly matched (greek tuff risotto with, his death, almost like a Franciacorta Saten the same plate of the sea).
seems to me that Taurasi has been particularly popular (2005), I saw the glasses filled and emptied several times, indicating that the wine was drunk, after the first "scientific" approach, without much thought and cogitation.
Apparently there is also a bonus, members vote all the wines presented and the one with the highest average wins, for the warmth, hospitality and friendliness of the owners of the award if the case is already won.

MUSEUM. When the "vu cumprà" were from the Veneto and Padania emigrated to America

Finalmente, dopo tanti progetti accantonati e tante promesse non mantenute, apre a Roma nel complesso del Vittoriano il museo nazionale dell’emigrazione, a testimoniare un esodo doloroso durato over a century, 29 million Italians, of whom less than a third returned to his homeland and in some moments, for the macroscopic dimensions of the flow and the inhuman conditions in which it happened, it is configured as a real genocide.
Visiting it is important to reflect on the fact, pointed out yesterday by President Napolitano at the opening, that Italy is a country of emigration before immigration. This magmatic phenomenon, marked by countless vicissitudes, has now found a particular place, from the poignant symbolism, where it can be told to new generations, who are invited to know our past to know how to behave properly now that we are divenuti un paese in grado di offrire lavoro e benessere ad altre popolazioni.
is then examined the period between the two world wars, in relation to fascism, colonialism and internal migration, given that the Great Depression of 1929 in the United States were enacted similar legislation.
Then follows the examination of flows in the second post-war economic miracle when provoked, as well as waves of migration to other countries, a momentous population shift from south to north.
Finally, the current reality of the Italian presence abroad, from four million units, characterized by a high qualification: fine brains and entrepreneurs.
This journey into the pain of a people forced out of the country to find the means to survive is accompanied by explanatory charts, photographs, documents, newspapers, posters, videos, historical films, characteristic objects, old postcards, cardboard suitcases and other family heirlooms . In some places you can listen to old songs, and see rare footage of the institute as small as light.
There is also a rich library with over 500 texts sul'emigrazione useful for students and scholars wishing to know more about and a lounge where you can attend a one-hour documentary featuring interviews with famous directors from ten to Salvatores Squitieri by Montaldo and Crialese, which you are interested in the problem interspersed with excerpts from their films.
There's also a section dedicated to those who today are trying their luck and working in Italy with 60 photos remind us of how the drama of migration does not change with time: the tomato pickers in Foggia, or the anonymous cumprà vu, streets and markets of our cities.
most moving images, however, are those referring to the vicissitudes of our ancestors, when the peninsula turned 30,000 brokers in human flesh, who organized these trips overseas in ways that are similar to those of the modern slave traders, using decades-old ships, packed up to twice the capacity and the absence of any garrison sanitary.
are reminded of some forgotten episodes as the sinking in 1891 at the port of Gibraltar in front of the ship "Utopia" with the deaths of 576 passengers all southern or the case of "Matthew Brazzo," which in 1884 was greeted by gunfire in the port of Montevideo, on board because there were some people suffering from cholera. Paradigmatic
that Brazil became the destination of our emigrants after 1888, when slavery was abolished and there was a need for new slaves.
departures in the first decades after the unification took place mainly from the port of Genoa, because the regions were more interested in the phenomenon, in addition to the Veneto, including Piedmont and Lombardy, as if to dispel definitely the stereotypical image of a rich north who had civilized the South. When he broke the Southern question in all its gravity and was tackled by military means, he began the exodus of people from southern and Naples that was started from the infamous vessel full of aching humanity, full of despair and longing, Anxiety redemption and ancient dignity, even if this reality is difficult to be accurately documented years ago by a fire which destroyed the archives of the port of Naples.
In the popular imagination more than the current combination emigrant - South Asia, has almost become an equivalent term, goes back to those painful years and had then a reinforcement when the Second World War has been an exodus of biblical proportions from the south, more and more poor become rich north.
This beautiful museum, which anticipates the celebrations for the Unification of Italy 150, should be cloned and become itinerant, so that all citizens can visit and above all the students in all schools, often with unnecessary exhibitions of contemporary art, while remaining ignorant of this interminable suffering because of our past in parentheses.

Vinitaly 2010

yesterday, meeting in the Chamber of Commerce in Avellino Irpinia with companies that participated in the last Vinitaly.
Subject: participation in the Vinitaly 2010
The position of the Chamber of Commerce is as follows:
we do not like how the Campania region manages the fair, we do not like how it spends money (too much), we do not like companies that Irpinia (representing 60% in the region) is given little visibility.
The solution:
the region offers the space and institutional marketing, the Chambers of Commerce equip individuals and promote local spaces before, during and after the event's image and companies in their province.
In case of rejection, the Chamber of Commerce are ready to do un passo indietro e non partecipare alla organizzazione della fiera (anche economicamente).
There was talk of Bordeaux), isolationism is not much use otherwise. We need the Irpinia, its companies, its wines have a clear market positioning and their immediate recognition (for example, a trademark style Gallo Nero for all products - in order to distinguish, for example, from the Aglianico Irpinia that of other provinces).
But we must reiterate that the results are merged, separated only confusion. This is true at the regional level and, above all, local. As long as companies do not have joint strategies for the results will always be little.

Aglianico But

receive from gourmet shops (officinegourmet.blogspot.com) and we gladly publish.

Aglianico Aglianico is a grape variety typically grown mostly in southern Campania and Basilicata. Its distribution is in fact more extensive, as is among the varieties recommended in Molise, Puglia and Abruzzo in some provinces. E 'approved in Calabria and in some areas of Sicily and Sardinia.
features
prefers hilly land, mostly of volcanic origin, or calcareous clay, however, of good constitution even if it has good adaptability towards the ground.
In some areas of cultivation (Taurasi - Vulture) you can find the vineyards with excellent results in 700 to 900 meters above sea level. It resists the cryptogams in general (powdery mildew and downy mildew), suffers from high temperatures and prolonged drought.
E 'grape which is rich in polyphenols, such as Nebbiolo and Sagrantino, which needs a strong and accurate clonal selection, low yields and a balanced choice about the type of wood, on the amount and length of stay in barrels large or small, used for aging.
Aglianico is a grape grumpy: ripens late, is intense and sharp in principle, difficult to cultivate and very difficult to make wine, with tannins that need time to be softened and acidity that ensures the necessary time to smooth. Unique in the notes of purple, black cherries, berries and small fruits, the wine may make its banal or sublime. History and Origins

The vine has ancient origins and is set in the Campania region: in the areas around Mount Vesuvius, Irpinia, in the provinces of Salerno, Caserta and Benevento, where alone or in blends fall into several DOC. Coupling in the Mediterranean with the first settlements of the Greek colonies, as witnessed by its original name, or Hellenic Ellanico, whose pronunciation has changed over the period of English rule in Campania among the XV - XVI century, replacing the double "ll" English in "gl". The vine is a plant itinerant, even Aglianico has spread and fits very well with the different climates of Campania and southern Italy. The earliest records date back to the top of the grape and the 800 are due to Columella Onorati.
Campania
production in Campania Aglianico grapes gives rise to the following names: The

From grapes Aglianico DOCG Campania produces the only red grape, Taurasi, produced only in the 17 municipalities of the province Avellino (Taurasi, Bonito, Castelfranco, Castelvetere the Heat, Fontanarosa, Lapine, Luogosano, Mirabella Eclano, Montefalcione, Montemarano, Montemiletto, Paternopoli, Pietradefusi, bait Sant'Angelo, San Mango sul Calore, The Tower and Nocelle Venticano) . Since 2005 in the same region but with wider scope than was allowed even with the new DOC Iripinia Taurasini sub-fields, which provides for the production of wine made from Aglianico grapes.
studies in recent years promoted by the Campania region on the DNA of the different biotypes of Aglianico, made in collaboration with Prof. Luigi Moio, Professor of Enology at the University Federico II, Dr. Michele Beef former regional official and now director Se.Si.RCA dell'Ismecert and Prof. Eugenio Pomarici Professor of Agricultural Economics and Policy at the Federico II, have shown that the Aglianico di Taurasi, Vulture and Taburno are genetically identical, even whether from a morphological feature of the differences. Moreover, diversity is also the territories where it is grown and the adaptation of different clones of the sites and the different microclimates.
Basilicata: Aglianico del Vulture
well as in Campania, Aglianico achieves excellent expressions in Basilicata, mainly on the slopes of the volcanic Vulture.La DOC Aglianico del Vulture was founded in 1971 and is in the process for il riconoscimento della DOCG.
L’Abruzzo:
In terra di Montepulciano, esistono buone lavorazioni dell’aglianico, ammesso in IGT.
sensory characteristics of Aglianico wine
The nose is initially, then complex with age, the palate is dry, fruity, underpinned by strong freshness, often tannic enough to need a big or small barrel aging. Aglianico is almost certainly the variety with which the Romans were the magic Falerno, the first DOC in the world for the first time the wine is identified in the Territory (Agro Falerno that his heart was in the area between Mondragone, Falco and Carinola at the foot of Mount Massico).
Aglianico del Vulture: aromas of violets, ripe cherry and tobacco
Aglianico di Taurasi: rose petal, cherry cherry. cloves, black pepper, licorice and tobacco
Aglianico Taburno: less spicy and more fruity flavors, especially blackberry and black currant.

INFLUENZA. The great trick of vaccines unnecessary monopoly

VACCINES BLUFF - Influence "swine"? It is called this because "it is the influence of these pigs have a monopoly on the vaccine WHO and governments to induce them to profitable mass vaccination." Here, just as they once would have said "communist trinariciuti" (depicted as monsters with three nostrils colorful political controversy in the years 50), now is led to suspect from the news and political health in recent months even communist who is not, in fact fighting for the free market, freedom of science and transparency in communications to the public ..
The fact is that at the beginning of the first cold of autumn and leaves every year, the campaign of mass vaccination against seasonal influenza. But this year, coincidentally, also known as vaccination against influenza virus H1N1. After the suspect
alarmism of the past months, and took away the ominous note of epidemiologists and pharmacologists, the pivotal question facing all is: are these vaccinations really necessary?
This is not the first time that the scientific questions about flu vaccines. There are numerous studies in this regard. Meanwhile, studies on seasonal answer "no". Science has proven that the preventive efficacy of inactivated vaccines is nearly zero.
"The efficacy of inactivated vaccines is Almost zero", she wrote several studies on scientific evidence of influenza vaccines for pediatric well-known researcher T. Jefferson.
So what? We inoculate the people for "health grounds", without any "scientific evidence" of substantial reduction in risk. Take for example the vaccination of children of school age.
"There is a gap between the stated aims of public health for the vaccination of healthy children against influenza and evidence of the ability of inactivated vaccines to achieve these objectives. These tests are mostly absent. But this absence is hidden from the eye of the casual observer by a series of errors and artifacts, and first and foremost the lack of reports of adverse reactions. "(Jefferson T. The prevention of seasonal influenza. Policy versus evidence. BMJ 2006; 333:912-5; Jefferson T et al., Assessment of the efficacy and effectiveness of influenza vaccines in healthy children: Systematic review. Lancet 2005, 365:773-80; Jefferson T. Influenza. Clinical Evidence 2006).
This is to limited to children. Discourse more complicated but essentially similar in adults.
The effectiveness statistics of influenza vaccines is very low. There are studies that leave stunned. The vaccinated can get sick or not, like everyone else. Maybe that policemen, firemen, doctors and teachers are required to be vaccinated every year? No.
the journal there is no evidence that influenza vaccine reduces cases, complications and deaths. It 's a bit a large placebo effect. Expensive. Also cause nothing against bacterial infections of the respiratory tract, much more serious. In essence, many people fell ill with bronchitis and pneumonia without first going for a flu. That this must be to give a high fever and other symptoms which lead to the bed. Instead I hear from people on the subway cheerfully: "Today I have a bit 'of influence ... "
on No. 71" Le Journal de Michel Dogna "last May talking about flu vaccine as a scam very profitable for the pharmaceutical industry. The article quotes the International Congress called "Projet Cochrane" which was held in Rome in early 2006 to take stock of 37 years of vaccination against influenza. The project, the result of 25 different studies, considered 60,000 adults. The conclusion was that vaccination reduced in healthy people, only 6%, the possibility of contracting influenza and had no effect in the elderly. To confirm this, Dr. Anthony Morris, a virologist and expert responsible for monitoring the vaccines of the same FDA, said: "There is no evidence that the flu vaccine is useful. Its manufacturers are well aware that serves no purpose, but they continue to sell it. " Another study conducted in Ontario (Canada) vaccinatoria free after a campaign carried out in 2000 to 12 million people, has reached the same conclusions.
The Eighth National Post, May 2, 2006, regarding a study done on cases of influenza in Canada between 1990 and 2005, about the vaccinees reported: "The flu vaccine has not reduced the number of cases, but this campaign has cost more than 200 million di dollari ai contribuenti”.
Not to mention the well-calculated alarmism about swine flu. In order to convinecere governments, medical and population to immunization.
Influence "swine"? I really need to correct the dictionaries. Even for us, as for the mayor Peppone, opponent of Don Camillo "is that the swine flu vaccine of monopolists - out of every rule of the free market, we add - have on WHO and governments to induce them to vaccinations mass. "
Other than the new "English", all fake. He made it clear in his press conference the famous pharmacologist Silvio Garattini. Infection of the century? Not at all: an ordinary seasonal flu is far more dead. According to the observation center specializing Institute of Health (CNESPS), "in Italy, every year there are an average of 8000 deaths (Epicentre). What more could be done
swine flu? So far, all over the world, has killed just 200 people to stay loose?
So the flu shots are a scam, at best an illusion. Yet you continue to do. Indeed, increased with orders from above.
But, in short, what is happening? Possible that in 2009 even newspapers, tv, general practitioners, in short, the much acclaimed and careful and critical public opinion, so stupidly fall into a deception worthy of the most inquietanti previsioni di Orwell?
Fatto sta che dietro ci sono le pressioni major pharmaceutical monopolies of the vaccine, which can make any money with the assurance that States at the invitation of the World Health Organisation (WHO-OMS) will buy without a murmur the miraculous panacea that will reassure rulers, politicians and local populations. Directors of health policy to give the drug lobbies. The doctors forced by the State Health Services to administer a vaccine that scientists consider useless. Billions stolen from the pockets of citizens and poured into those of the shareholders of the pharmaceutical industry. Who knows, maybe even millions in bribes in dollars, sterling and euro.
It 's time to stop with the misinformation continues with the sham dei dati.
The point. The West is ruled by the Conservatives, not Liberals. Better not talk, then east and south of the World: there are continuing to control the reactionaries. It is a mistake, so who would take the right anti-monopoly campaign to fight anti-capitalist.
"Oh, a strange thing happens to me, I'm becoming a communist. And 'serious, doctor?" Calm down, calm down, she's just a bit' agitated. Do not worry, fortunately now there is a vaccine for this! "
.
VACCINES ALIVE - But for the great Bressanini (a myth to me) it seems that the flu vaccines, which, however, admits he does not know effectiveness, will be helpful. Leggetelo.

Sealing Travertine Shower

Taurasi is it?

nof course of my brief visit in Tuscany, during meetings with the owners of wineries and wine shops to wander around, I produced a high thought. Today
What Taurasi?
First I noticed that all the insiders know him, "is a great wine," you say when they talk. Then ask him, "she tried labels / sell?", You say 'I do not remember / no you do not sell. "
Then I reflected on the price positioning: The Brunello costs between € 25 and N, does not move from there, Montecucco is located about 15 euro, does not move from there, Morellino about 10 € and from there moves. Taurasi 6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20,25,30,40,50,60 now costs € depending on the region, the winery, the distributor. My list says 20, but you can also sell to 6 (not my case, but it is a case).
The question is: Taurasi is a Brunello or Morellino?
if it is a Brunello, a great wine that should be promoted and sold as a great wine for all, if it is a Morellino okay, just sell it after a year of harvest and there are no problems. Where I want to parry
:
1. The territory of Taurasi and agencies to its preservation and dissemination do little more than zero to say the wine outside the borders of Campania (the somewhat higher due to the annual preview, as you know that each year was made possible thanks to the will of a few and many prayers).
2. companies should learn to make synergy and consistent trade policies, each going their own account, happy if you sell a carton of wine produces results close to zero

I'm going back in Irpinia with images of rolling Tuscan hills and in the words of a Montalcino producer of "eh is the Aglianico and Taurasi are two major varieties ... sic ... but thanks for trying to encourage.

Montecucco

in a brief "tour" in Tuscany, a wonderful discovery (chiedo scusa dell'ignoranza): Il MONTECUCCO.
Classico uvaggio toscano (Sangovese e poco altro), territorio stretto fra Montalcino e Scansano, ottimo vino.

final note for the land on the field with the winery in Irpinia, I can not make me capable as it is possible that there is so much difference to 400 km away. Organization, hospitality, kindness, cleanliness, facilities, etc.. (Basile are the bells are no longer happy in Campania ).... and think that the next day I went to Montalcino .....
